RETREAT GUIDELINES

  • Sundown indicates “quiet time”. Please consider that others may be going to sleep as the sun goes down and aim to keep noise to a minimum after sunset.

  • No smoking is permitted anywhere on the land at any time.

  • Please use the filtered water from the water dispensers around the land for drinking and also for filling enema bags. If you require assistance changing the blue water jugs, please note that there are people available to help with this from 8.30am to 4.30pm daily only.

  • Please note that it can take a couple of minutes for the hot water to fully get going, so it’s best to let the water flow for a while first, to get it warmed up. If you find that you suddenly can’t get hot water in a location where it was working previously, the most likely cause is that the gas tank for the heater has run out – this is easily replaced, just let us know and we can get you a new tank.

  • There is a large cork notice-board alongside the basketball court. Please refer here for any schedule changes, to find local taxi numbers and for any group departures.

  • Please do not use chemical products on this land; this might include cleaning products, beauty products, gardening products and more. Please be aware of potential sensitivities of others, plus understand that some of the houses have grey-water systems that feed directly into the land - we do not want to pollute the land with chemicals.

  • As you move around the property, *please be sure to *close* any gates* you encounter, especially the metal gates in the “dog fence”. This is also very important if you enter the duck enclosure for any reason – if the gate there is left open, the dogs may enter and eat the ducks!

  • Please do not wear shoes inside the buildings.

  • There is a first aid kit available next to the office where you turn on the Steam Sauna or ask Chrystyna.

  • Please do not enter the kitchen and they cannot do special requests normally. They are working to a tight schedule and require headspace for concentration. It is challenging for them to keep things on schedule if people frequently visit them in the kitchens to chat, ask questions and so on.

  • Please be careful not to leave any personal items laying around by the pool or other areas of the land. If items go missing in this way, it is your own responsibility. “Lost and Found” is Chrystyna’s office.

  • Please note that while the swimming pool is primarily cleaned/maintained by a natural filtration system, we also add a small amount of chlorine powder on Thursday mornings to keep everything as clean as possible. The chlorine usually completely burns off by Thursday afternoon and can no longer be smelled or felt. Note the No Swimming signs during times of cleaning.  Thursday and Friday morning are pool cleaning days.

  • If you use the steam room, saunas, hot/cold pool or waterslides, please be sure to turn them off after use. Also let us know if the gas tanks have run out for the steam room or hot/cold pool and we can get them replaced. After using the steam room, please be sure to hose the room down using the provided hose with power nozzle that is stored on the wall outside; this helps to keep the steam room clean for other guests.

  • Please note the areas marked as private on the land map and respect these boundaries.

  • Please help conserve energy and put towels outside your door only when you need fresh ones

  • Lastly, *please* be sure to leave your room/pass keys in your room before leaving at the end of the retreat!
